New Delhi, April 12 (Bureau) India on Friday issued a travel advisory to its citizens to not travel to Iran or Israel amid the “prevailing situation in the region” till further notice. Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in the travel advisory requested those currently residing in these two countries to get in touch with Indian Embassies and register themselves. “They are also requested to observe utmost precautions about their safety and restrict their movements to the minimum,” the travel advisory read.
The advisory comes amid tensions between Israel and Iran which is likely to flare up following the killings of Iranian generals in a blast at the Iranian consulate in Syria. Meanwhile, over 6,000 Indian workers are expected to arrive in Israel during April and May to help the country’s construction sector under the the government-to-government (G2G) agreement.
