Hyderabad, Apr 5 (FN Agency) Union Minister and Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy underscored Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambition to elevate India to the position of the world’s third-largest economy. During an election campaign in Amberpet within his Secunderabad Parliamentary Constituency on Friday, Reddy touched upon several themes, including the importance of voting rights, electoral procedures, and historical anecdotes.
Reddy said Lok Sabha elections across the country are held in seven phases, with Telangana’s elections scheduled for May 13.Stressing the significance of voting as a fundamental right, Reddy cited Dr Abdul Kalam’s advocacy for voting rights. Noting a significant voter turnout in MIM-held areas, he urged for increased participation in other regions. Highlighting alleged irregularities in MIM polling booths, Reddy discussed historical events related to Hindu-Muslim relations.
Commending the contributions of the Arya Vaishya community, Reddy referenced Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s efforts in rebuilding the Somnath temple. Reflecting on the BJP’s struggles for the Ram temple in Ayodhya, he mentioned sacrifices made during its construction.Recalling actions taken by Mulayam Singh Yadav’s government against temple supporters, Reddy criticized Congress’s stance on the Ram temple issue. Praising Modi’s dedication to constructing the Ram Mandir, he highlighted Modi’s efforts in combating terrorism and isolating Pakistan. Affirming Modi’s goal of positioning India as the world’s third-largest economy, Reddy acknowledged developmental strides in infrastructure under Modi’s leadership.
