Ludhiana, Mar 4 (Representative) Lauding the Punjab government for initiating steps for Punjab’s development, local residents on Sunday said Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s government has ignited a new hope among people of the state for a better future.Commending the Punjab government’s functioning, Varun Jairth from Footwear Association lauded CM Mann for immediately accepting the demand of extending deadline of OTS scheme for two months. The deadline has been extended till May 15.Dinesh Puri from Kuku Exports appreciated the noble initiative of Mann Government’s ‘Aap Di Sarkar Aap De Dwar’ as he got the birth certificate of his son within half an hour in one of the camps near his house. Harmeek Singh from Baba Chicken hailed ‘Mera Bill, Mera Adhikar’ app as now, it has givena fair playing field to the taxpayers. The non-taxpayers have also started filling tax as the app has became a major check on the bogus bills.On his request for saving ground water, CM said that apart from facilitating surface water to the fields, soon canal water would also be provided to the industrial units.
He said that 24×7 Sidhwan canal based surface water supply project would be started soon in Ludhiana. Rajesh Gupta from Integrated textile and Knitwears thanked CM Mann for ensuring refunds are credited in time. CM assured to take up the issue with GST council regarding relief for tax paid on capital goods. Rajinder Singh, President Small Scale Textile Association, thanked CM for launching PP Sanjh app as it has promptly ensured verification of the labourers. He also said that all NOCs and other letters submitted to government departments especially to PPCB were being cleared on the same day.Rajiv Jain from Plastic Manufacturers and Traders Association sought help of lifting ban on 120 Microns plastic bag in the Punjab on which CM Mann said that the required amendment in the act will be made soon.
