Bhubaneswar, Feb 18 (FN Representative) In a bid to strengthen the health care services in Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday inaugurated 73 Ama Hospitals in 15 districts and 5 dialysis centres at sub-division hospitals. Dedicating the Ama Hospitals and Dialysis centres, Naveen hoped that these hospitals would herald a new age in the health care services in the state to provide improvised medical treatment facilities to the people of the state.
This will bring a big change in the health services in the government hospitals, Patnaik said, adding that in the next five years, 1858 more hospitals in the state will be transformed into Ama Hospitals for which over Rs.3300 crores provision has been made during 2023- 2028. Highlighting on the state’s health services, the Chief Minister said during the last year 4000 doctors and more than 3700 nurses have been recruited while infrastructure, basic facilities for the patients, and service delivery systems have been improved in hospitals across the state.
