Let us all unite to glorify globe with Hindu Sanatana Dharma: Pontiffs

Tirumala, Feb 5 (Representative) The Pontiffs and Hindu religious heads of various Peethams and Mutts on Sunday said propagation of the Hindu Sanatana Dharma was a must to glorify the world with a devotional wave to overcome all difficulties. The Peethadhipathis and Chiefs of various like-minded Hindu religious organisations who graced the second day of the ongoing Dharmika Sadas, came up with suggestions to TTD on how to take forward Hindu Sanatana Dharma through their messages.Speaking at the Conclave, Vedurupaka Swamy from Vijayadurga Peetham said both TTD Chairman Karunakara Reddy and Executive Officer AV Dharma Reddy have been making countless efforts for the development of Srivari Temple adopting more pilgrim-friendly methods and undertaking more religious activities. In the last five years, many facilities have been provided to common devotees in Tirumala, which is a welcoming aspect, he added Mukundananda Maharaj from Jyotir Mutt, Uttarakhand, said Sanatana dharma means that not just humans alone but also cattle, plants and animals should be equally treated in a proper manner.

TTD should move ahead in that direction and promote Gomata as Vishwa Mata.Mannar Gudi Joyar swamy urged the TTD to strive hard to prevent conversions in remote areas. TTD should work for the propagation of Hinduism and cow protection all over the world. Medical and educational institutions should be expanded, he added. Vidyananda Swamy from Kannyur Mutt, Udipi, said that TTD brought together the sadhus in India and undertook such a great work of reviving Hindu Sanatana Dharma taking forward its values to the nook and corner of the country.Speaking on the occasion, Anupamananda Maharaj from Ramakrishna Mutt, opined that more and better efforts should be made to pass on dharma to the future generations. The interest of the youth towards Dharmacharana needs to be developed.Sanskrit language should be encouraged and due to this, the culture along with the language also gets used to the youth, he added .At the Conference, Soundarajan from Chilukuru Balaji temple, Hyderabd, said that the priests should be made partners in the protection of Sanatana Dharma in existing temples.

A proper explanation on the essence of our Hindu Dharma should be taught to the lower classes. Subudendra Theertha Swamy from Raghavendra Mutt, Mantralayam, said that everyone should work for the protection of Dharma. Although TTD is doing many religious programs, some people are indulged in criticism which is not a right gesture. TTD is working all over the world for the propagation of Hindu Dharma, he added. Revathi Ramana Das from ISKCON, Tirupathi, said TTD’s Goshala is one of the country’s best and a role model to other organisations. Liquor shops and mutton stalls in Tirupati should be shifted to the suburbs of the city akin to Dwaraka, Kurukshetra, Ayodhya, Ramana Das urged.
