New Delhi Jan 4 (Representative) With the Lok Sabha election just few months away and the upcoming Bharat Nyay Yatra by Rahul Gandhi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday convened a meeting with the office bearers of the party. While addressing office bearers, which was also attended by Rahul here, the Congress president said that the ‘party should leave no stone unturned to win the Lok Sabha election’. He also called upon the party workers to make the Bharat Nyay Yatra by Rahul Gandhi a big success. Calling the workers as eye and ear of the party, Mr Kharge said that with just three months left for the Lok Sabha election, they should work day and night for the party. He said that on December 19, the fourth meeting of the INDIA alliance was held where “We discussed about seat sharing, EVMs and other relevant issues.
With regards to seat sharing, our national alliance committee is holding discussions with the state units. There are plans to organise eight to 10 big meetings with the alliance partners”. Mr Kharge also said that the 139th founding day at Nagpur was a big success and the call “Hai Taiyaar Hum” rally was immensely supported by the people. The Congress president urged all his party workers to dedicatedly work as they did in 2004 which led to a big win for the UPA under the leadership of Mrs Sonia Gandhi. He said the same dedication should be for the 2024 election. He also termed the the suspension of 146 MPs from Parliament as “undemocratic” adding that several important Bills were passed without discussion and this has led to widespread demonstrations across the country. Talking about the upcoming Bharat Nyay Yatra by Rahul Gandhi, Mr Kharge said this yatra is to counter the false narratives set by the BJP. it will highlight on issues such as price rise, unemployment, and caste-based census. “We should make the Bharat Nyay Yatra a big success like that of the Bharat Jodo Yatra,” he said. The Congress President said the Modi-led government has been demeaning the role of Congress in building modern India, it was time that they be given a befitting reply. He alleged that the government has been openly misusing agencies like CBI and ED.
