Patna, Jan 4 (FN Agency) BJP Rajya Sabha MP and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Wednesday said that complying with the orders of the Supreme Court, the Bihar government should release the detailed data up to ward and panchayat level of the caste survey at the earliest. Modi said here that the decision for conducting caste survey was taken when BJP was in power and soon after submission of its report the party had demanded the data be released in detail up to panchayat as well as ward level. The order of the Supreme Court has further boosted the demands of the BJP, he claimed. The BJP leader alleged that by releasing data only up to the state level, the Bihar government has tried to conceal several facts.
Modi said several castes have complained that their community has been shown in lesser numbers, whereas several others complained of not being included in the survey. The survey can legally be challenged only after getting and examining detail data up to ward and panchayat level, he quipped.Modi said the survey was conducted on 17 parameters of socio economic and education level whereas the government has released only the data of 7 to 8 points. Those who are trying to encash on the credit of conducting caste survey should now comply with the orders of the Supreme Court and release the detail report up to ward and panchayat level, he added.
