New Delhi, Dec 24 (FN Representative) Delhi Minister Atishi on Sunday expressed her displeasure over non-appointment of Water and Drainage Members in Delhi Jal Board for over two months. Expressing her concerns, Atishi alleged that files for appointment of the two senior most technical members shuttling between Delhi Jal Board, Urban Development Dept and Services Department.
Minister directed the Chief Secretary to ensure that DJB has full-time members (Water, Drainage, Finance) within seven working days, an official communique said. “Several projects at a standstill because technical approvals can only be given by these technical members,” as per Minister’s letter. “No full time Member Finance for more than 3 months,” it read. Atishi claimed, “Concerned Ministers (Water & Urban Development) have not been sent any files regarding these appointments, claiming that it is a ‘Services’ matter and therefore outside the purview of the elected government.”
