Cong releases 61 candidates for Rajasthan assembly polls

New Delhi, Nov 1 (Agency) The Congress on Tuesday released 61 candidates for the upcoming Rajasthan Assembly elections.Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal said that this list of candidates has been released in the Central Election Committee of the party. The party’s Central Election Committee today released the fourth and fifth list of candidates for Rajasthan. In this way, the party has so far declared a total of 156 candidates for the Rajasthan Assembly elections. In the fourth list, most of the sitting MLAs have been given a place. Former MP Badri Ram Jakhar has been fielded from Bali seat while Congress national spokesperson Gaurav Vallabh has been given ticket from Udaipur.

Former Assembly Speaker and MLA Deependra Singh Shekhawat has been given a chance from Srimadhopur, former Union Minister and MLA Mahadev Singh Khandela has been given a chance from Khandela assembly constituency. The party has expressed confidence in Vikas Chaudhary, who joined the Congress after being denied a ticket from the BJP, by giving him a ticket from Kishangarh. The Congress general secretary said that the party has announced a total of 156 candidates for the Rajasthan Assembly.In the last three lists, the party has fielded candidates in 95 seats. Elections to the 200-member Aloo Assembly in Rajasthan will be held on November 25 and the counting of votes will take place on December 3.
