Amit Shah criticises KCR’s focus on making son KTR CM

Adilabad (Telangana), Oct 11 (FN Agency) Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday criticised Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) for his exclusive focus over the last ten years on paving the way for his son, K. T. Rama Rao (KTR), to become the CM.Addressing a public gathering titled “Jana Garjana” (Peoples’ Roar) in Adilabad, Shah acknowledged the historical significance of the region, which was inspired by the struggles of freedom fighters Ranji Gondu and Komaram Bheem. He invoked the memory of these heroes and called upon the crowd to support the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming elections. Shah emphasiSed that the people’s enthusiastic cheers indicated their desire to form a BJP government under the leadership of Narendra Modi on December 3, marking a shift from the KCR-led administration.He assured the audience that, once in power, the BJP would celebrate Hyderabad Liberation Day annually in every district. Shah underscored the need for a “double-engine government,” where the BJP governs both at the central and state levels, to facilitate comprehensive development. Shah highlighted recent initiatives, including the establishment of the Sammakka Sarakka Central Tribal University to provide tribal students with education on their culture and higher education opportunities.

He also mentioned the creation of the National Turmeric Board to enhance the turmeric industry and the approval of the Krishna Water Dispute Tribunal 2 to address the longstanding water dispute.The Union Home Minister noted the passage of a bill to reserve 33 per cent of seats in the Lok Sabha and Assemblies for women and flayed the KCR government for its perceived neglect of the poor, Dalits, and tribes in Telangana. Shah commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for initiatives such as providing toilets, homes, gas cylinders to women, and financial support to farmers. He contrasted these actions with KCR’s focus on his family’s political future.Shah also highlighted Modi’s commitment to tribal welfare, including making Draupadi Murmu, a poor tribal woman from Odisha, the President of India. He criticised the Congress for its lacklustre budget allocation for tribal welfare during its tenure and accused the party of being involved in corruption.Shah urged the audience to choose between a government led by KCR, which he characterised as prioritizing family interests, and a government led by Modi, which he claimed was dedicated to the welfare of the poor, Dalits, tribes, and backward classes.

Shah also highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives, including the celebration of Adivasi Gaurav Diwas on Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary and the construction of museums to honor tribal freedom fighters. He contrasted these efforts with KCR’s unmet pledges, including the unfinished hospital project and unfulfilled commitments to tribal housing and infrastructure development.Shah questioned the audience about the abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir, underlining Modi’s decisive action to integrate Kashmir into India. He also addressed the issue of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, underscoring Modi’s commitment to its construction, and emphasised the need for strong border security. The Union Home Minister criticised KCR’s governance, citing Telangana’s unfortunate statistics in areas like farmers’ suicides, crime against women and children, and corruption. He ridiculed KCR’s political alliance with Majlis, highlighting their influence over the government’s decisions.
