Telangana Women safety wing partnership with NGOs to combat child trafficking and prevent human trafficking in state
Hyderabad, Oct 6 (Agency) Aiming at enhancing the safety and ell-being of women and children in Telangana state, the Women Safety Wing of the Telangana Police has entered into a historic partnership with My Choices Foundation (MCF), NGO and International Justice Mission (IJM), NGO here on Thursday to combat Child Trafficking and to prevent human trafficking. Under the MoU, the Telangana Police, MCF, and IJM will provide comprehensive legal support, facilitate access to justice, and work towards the prevention of human trafficking, a police release said here. IJM brings its expertise to the table for conducting trainings, workshops, and consultations related to Child Labour Trafficking.
They will also publish training materials, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and coordinate with other relevant line departments. MCF brings with it both experience and dedication in the fight against human trafficking. It is committed to the proposed Safe Village program, which aims to sensitize at-risk communities about sex trafficking, prevention strategies, and community empowerment. This partnership underscores the significance of collaboration between law enforcement and civil society organizations in addressing the pressing issue of women and children’s safety. By pooling their resources, expertise, and dedication, the Women’s Safety Wing and the both NGOs aim to make Telangana a safer place for all its residents.
