Shimla, Sep 27 (Agency) The Himachal Pradesh government has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) for probing cases registered in various Police Stations of the state relating to Crypto Currency, a top official said on Tuesday. DGP Sanjay Kundu said in a notification that the 13-member committee comprises senior police officers. The SIT would conduct professional and impartial investigation including financial investigation, of the cases relating to Crypto Currency registered in various Police Stations of the State. Eight cases have been registered in various police station in the Kangra, Hamirpur, Mandi and Solan district.
The SIT has been tasked with investigating the cases thoroughly and expeditiously and update the Police Headquarters with regard to the progress of the probe periodically. DGP said the SIT would look into the bigger conspiracy with respect to crypto currency in the State. It will find out whether the spread of cases is limited to Himachal Pradesh or beyond. The SIT has been directed to unearth the organised crime and take appropriate action against the criminals. The SIT would also find out the role of various persons including public servants involved in the matter and take appropriate action against them.
