New Delhi, Aug 29 (Agency) Delhi Minister Atishi on Tuesday inspected Lodhi Road and Pragati Maidan stretch to take stock of forthcoming G20 Summit preparations. Atishi, during her visit, said, “Delhi is ready to offer an unforgettable experience to G20 delegates with a stunning makeover of major city roads.” Speaking about the makeover of Lodhi Road and other significant city roads, Atishi said, “Over the past one year, the Delhi Government’s Public Works Department has diligently undertaken streetscaping projects across the national capital, drawing inspiration from European roads.”, Delhi PWD minister’s office communique said.
“Today, I inspected Lodhi Road, a vital part of Central Delhi. PWD has completely transformed this stretch with contemporary design and architecture. The addition of fountains, modern street sculptures, lighting, state-of-the-art furniture, green spaces, and a walking path has made the road aesthetically appealing,” she added. “Our goal is to present the most exceptional aspects of Delhi’s landscape to the visiting G20 delegates. Welcoming them in Delhi is a matter of pride for us and the people of Delhi. The collective efforts of various entities, including the Central government, Delhi Government, and MCD, have given Delhi its remarkable appearance to welcome the delegates,” the minister said.
