Chennai, Aug 6 (FN Representative) President Droupadi Murmu on Sunday evening unveiled a a portrait of revolutionary Tamil poet Mahakavi Subramaniya Bharathiar in Raj Bhavan. Ms Murmu also renamed the Durbar Hall as ‘Bharathiar Mandapam’ Just before the event, the Raj Bhavan in a tweet said “Hon’ble President Tmt Droupadi Murmu will grace the function at Raj Bhavan where she will unveil portrait of Mahakavi Subramaniya Bharathiar & will rename Durbar Hall as Bharathiar Mandapam today.” Tamil Nadu Governor R.N.Ravi and other dignatories were present. Earlier, Ms Murmu also met the members of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) at the Raj Bhavan.
