HYSEA ESG Conclave 2023 successfully concludes in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, July 4 (FN Agency) The Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA) successfully concluded the highly anticipated ESG Conclave 2023, a prestigious event dedicated to driving positive social and environmental change. This influential gathering brought together industry leaders, experts, government officials, NGOs, and other stakeholders to discuss how they can collectively shape the future of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices. Telangana Social Impact Group (T-SIG) played a key role as a partner in organizing the event. Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, ITE&C Department, Government of Telangana, graced the occasion as the esteemed Chief Guest, sharing his valuable perspectives on sustainable development and responsible business practices. He encouraged corporates to channel their resources through T-SIG for maximum impact and emphasized the need for long-term investments in ESG to ensure sustainable impact. Amala Akkineni, in her address to the gathering, urged people to embrace minimalism and encouraged corporates to work towards wildlife conservation and climate change initiatives.

The conclave featured two dynamic roundtable discussions that garnered tremendous interest and participation. The first roundtable, titled “Shaping the Future of CSR,” brought together industry leaders, experts, and stakeholders to explore the transformative power of collaboration and volunteering in corporate social responsibility initiatives. The participants discussed sustainable community development, employee engagement, environmental conservation, social welfare, and shared best practices for effective CSR implementation. The CSR roundtable was moderated by Manisha Saboo, President of HYSEA and VP & Campus Head, Infosys Hyderabad SEZ & Indore.

The second roundtable, “ESG: A Business Imperative,” focused on the increasing significance of Environmental, Social, and Governance considerations as critical business imperatives. Esteemed leaders from the corporate, NGO, and government sectors exchanged valuable insights and explored ways to integrate ESG principles into core strategies, fostering sustainable and responsible business practices. The ESG roundtable was moderated by Kishore Borra, MD of Energytech Global and Environment intervention leader at HYSEA.

The conclave also featured an NGO Expo, showcasing the incredible work and initiatives of over 100+ NGOs. This vibrant platform provided an opportunity for networking, collaboration, and fostering meaningful partnerships between NGOs and various stakeholders. The HYSEA CSR & ESG Awards, a highlight of the event, recognized and celebrated HYSEA member companies for their exceptional contributions in the areas of Education, Health & Wellbeing, Environment Protection, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I), and Volunteering. These awards honored innovative and path-breaking initiatives that have made a lasting impact on society. Ms. Amala Akkineni, Chairperson of Blue Cross, Hyderabad, presented the awards. The ESG Conclave 2023 served as a significant milestone in advancing the conversation around CSR and ESG practices. Through fruitful discussions, knowledge-sharing, and visionary thinking, participants collectively reinforced their commitment to building a sustainable and inclusive future.
