Rain lashes several parts in Delhi, brings minimum temp to 25.5 degrees

New Delhi, June 19 (Agency) Several parts of the National Capital and its adjoining areas on Monday morning received light to moderate intensity, bringing slight relief from the scorching heat.The fresh spell of rain brought down the temperature in the national capital to 29°C. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) during the 24 hours, the city received 5mm of rainfall. The minimum temperature settled at 25.5 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year, the IMD said.The relative humidity in the city at 8:30 am was recorded at 96 per cent.

Meanwhile, the weather department has forecast generally cloudy skies with light rain or thundershowers during the day. Meanwhile, the remnant of Cyclone Storm Biparjoy creates depression over central parts of East Rajasthan. As per IMD, It is likely to move nearly east-northeastwards and maintain its intensity of depression during the next 12 hours.Earlier on Sunday, heavy rain lashed parts of Rajasthan’s Barmer district under the influence of the cyclonic storm Biparjoy.Severe waterlogging and a flood-like situation were seen at various places.
