Emphasis on speedy development of industrial corridors in Maha: Shinde

Mumbai, May 31 (FN Agency) Maharashtra State Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Tuesday said that, priority has been given to the development of industrial corridors in the state in recent times and efforts are being made to speed up the development works there. The central government had distributed 239 plots for industrial groups in various industrial townships across the country,he said. On this, the Central Committee appreciated the policy and working system of attracting the industries of Maharashtra. Mr Shinde participated through the televised system. From Delhi, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, Union Ports, Shipping, Waterways and AYUSH Minister Sarbanand Sonowal, while from the Ministry Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Bhushan Gagrani, Principal Secretary Vikas Kharge, Principal Secretary Brijesh Singh, Principal Secretary Industries Department Harshdeep Kamble, Suresh Kakani, Managing Director of Maharashtra Industrial Township Limited were also present.

Mr. Shinde said that the project at Shendra-Bidkeen has been dedicated to the nation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 197 plots have been allotted here. Out of this 150 plots are for industries and 47 plots are for residential use. At present development work is going on on 77 plots and 27 industries have started actual production. The state government is striving to start production of 50 more industries as high infrastructure facilities will be provided to the investors in the coming years. The chief minister also said that electricity supply license has been obtained here and electricity will be provided to industries at a low rate in a few months. The widening Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar -Paithan road should be completed on time, besides the notification of Chhatrapati-Pune Green Highway has been issued and land acquisition should be quick for this, land acquisition of additional space for the railway line on this route will speed up the development of both the projects, railway siding in the railway station at Karmad,he added.
