New Delhi, May 29 (Agency) IIFA 2023 witnessed a star-studded evening filled with glitz, glamour, and remarkable talent. Among the rising stars who owned the stage was Babil Khan, who left an indelible mark with his stellar performance in the movie ‘Qala’. Babil’s portrayal of Jagan in the film garnered him the prestigious award for ‘Best Debut Actor Male 2023’ at IIFA. Directed by Anvitaa Dutt, Babil showcased his acting prowess in ‘Qala’, and touched the hearts of audiences worldwide.
Expressing his gratitude, Babil said, “My father was one of the greatest actors in the world, possibly the greatest father in the world, I truly believe that, but he missed out on one thing and that is giving credit to the woman who made it possible for him to be all that; my mother. I know mamma that this is an emotional event for you but I’m grateful because success would mean nothing to me if you weren’t here to witness it so thank you! And thank you IIFA for making this possible.” Having just finished shooting a film, Babil will next be seen in ‘The Railway Men’, a web show by Yash Raj Films.
