Rahul aiming for swift return after successful surgery

Mumbai, May 10 (Agency) India batter KL Rahul has successfully undergone surgery on his injured thigh and is determined to return to the national fold as soon as possible. Rahul tore a tendon in his right thigh when fielding for the Lucknow Super Giants in their Indian Premier League clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the start of the month and was duly ruled out of India’s squad for next month’s ICC World Test Championship final. The India star took to social media on Tuesday to reveal his surgery had been successful, with the 31-year-old making special mention of the medical staff that performed the operation, the ICC reported. “Hi everyone, I just got done with my surgery. It was successful,” Rahul wrote.”A big thank you to the doctors and medical staff for making sure I was comfortable and everything went smoothly. “I am officially on the road to recovery now. I am determined to get back to my best and get back on the field.
