New Delhi, Apr 28 (Agency) Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday arrested an Assistant Engineer working in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi for alleged bribery. A case was registered against an AE (Civil), Engineering Service Department of AIIMS on the allegations of demanding bribe of Rs 20 thousand from the complainant (a contractor) to approve an additional item and make entries in the Measurement Book for the maintenance work being executed by him, the probe agency said in a statement. CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red handed while allegedly accepting the bribe of Rs.20 thousand from the complainant. Searches were conducted at the premises of the accused, it said. The accused was produced before the court in Delhi and remanded to Judicial Custody till May 11.
