Mumbai, Apr 26 (Agency) “Mukhyamantri Solar Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0 will be very useful for farmers to get electricity even during the day and this ‘flagship’ scheme for the prosperity of farmers should be implemented very effectively in all districts,” said Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday. A one-day conference of Divisional Commissioners and Collectors was held at the Sahyadri State Guest House recently to launch the Chief Minister’s Solar Agriculture Vahini Yojana-2.0. On this occasion, the booklet ‘Mission-2025’ was released by dignitaries. Mr Fadnavis said that agriculture and farmers are the backbone of the state’s economy and the state government stands firmly behind farmers. Mukhyamantri Solar Krishi Vahini Yojana 2.0 is going to be very useful for farmers, as it is cheap and green energy.
The scheme will also boost the industrial sector by reducing cross subsidies. Through this scheme, emphasis will be placed on bringing maximum number of feeders to solar energy. Districts Collector should strive to make the district where electricity is available to farmers during the day through solar energy. Since availability of land in these projects is very important, for this purpose, all the District Collectors should collect the information of government and semi-government lands within five to ten kilometers of the Mahavitaran sub station. Mr. Fadnavis also directed that those lands which are suitable for setting up projects should be made available for all these projects after all the necessary processing, he added.
