New Delhi, Apr 21 (FN Bureau) Former Jammu and Kashmir governor Satyapal Malik on Friday claimed that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has issued a notice to him to appear before it in connection with a case. Meanwhile , Malik , who had served in several states including Meghalaya as Governor, said he exposed the sins of some people by speaking the truth that is why the call has come. “I have exposed the sins of some people by speaking the truth. Maybe that’s why the call has come. I am the son of a farmer, I will not panic. I stand by the truth. #CBI,” he tweeted and said.
The CBI notice comes days after Malik in a interview to a news portal while mentioning about the Pulwama terror attack where 40 CRPF jawans were martyred, alleged that he was asked by the Modi and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval to refrain himself from speaking about the lapses which he had apprised in the aftermath of the attack.Senior Congress leader KC Venugopal came out in support of Malik and in a tweet wrote, “Since the day Satyapal Malik exposed the corrupt, incompetent and power hungry nature of the Modi govt, it was clear that he will be targeted by the PM’s agencies.” “Modi ji, these agencies are meant to catch actual criminals, not to settle your political scores,” he said attacking the PM.
