Inter-state dacoit gang arrested, firearms seized

Hyderabad, April 12 (Bureau) The city police have arrested an inter-state gang of five individuals and seized firearms from them. The police confiscated three country-made pistols, six bullet rounds, 16 scissor blade divided pieces, one Jambiya Knife, five big screwdrivers with green-colored handles, one small torch light, three monkey caps, two men caps, one cutter, one car, and net cash of Rs 70,000 from their possession. Acting on credible information, the Jeedimetla Police arrested Amar Singh Jaggar Singh Tak (21) of Evath Haddi, Pune, Maharashtra State, Lucky Singh Gabbar Singh Tak (20) of Ramtekdi, Anandnagar, Pune, Maharashtra State.

Nihal Singh Manav Singh (17) of Hadapsar, Tuljabhavani Vasat, Pune, Maharashtra State, Jeeth Singh Rajpal Singh (26) of Wahidvadi Vasad, Pune, Maharashtra State, and Nishanth (22) of Krishnanagar, Pune, Maharashtra State at Shapurnagar, Jeedimely on Tuesday night while they were making preparations to commit dacoity and other heinous crimes, according to a police statement here on Wednesday. During the inquiry, the accused confessed to having committed several property and bodily offenses in Pune and coming to Jeedimetla area to commit dacoity and property offenses while keeping the net cash they obtained from their previous crimes. Further investigation is currently underway, the statement added.
