Dharamshala, Mar 22( Agency) Deputy Commissioner, Kangra, Dr. Nipun Jindal, stressed on better coordination among the departments in matters related to forest clearance to speed up the development projects in the district. He was presiding over the meeting of District Level Coordination Committee on Monday. He also asked the departments for mutual cooperation regarding inter-departmental No Objection Certificates (NOC). He said that this would help in speedy implementation of development projects and ensure overall development of the district. The Deputy Commissioner also took department-wise reports of the progress in the cases of FRA and FCA approval regarding development projects and gave necessary guidance regarding the diagnosis of objections in the cases related to forest clearance.
The meeting discussed the follow up of FRA cases related to various projects. During this, a detailed discussion was also held regarding the FRA issue of the land earmarked for the Rajiv Gandhi Day Boarding School at Matholi in Noorpur. The Deputy Commissioner asked to take it forward with more speed. At the same time, discussions were held in detail regarding the status and progress of FRA cases of adjacent forest land for the extension of NH 88 under Nagrota Bagwan sub-division and NH 154 being constructed between Sihuni to Rajol in Shahpur and Jawali. Top officials of various departments including Forest, Public Works, Jal Shakti, Education, Police, Industries and other stakeholders were present in the meeting.
