Lately, it has been observed that there is a lot of passengers’ pressure on both the sides, as a result of which women, men, children, old people and patients are subjected to extreme sufferings. Who is actually responsible for this suffering? It is difficult to say but different authorities work in a land port. However, by December of this year, the new building will be inaugurated at the cost of 450 crore rupees in Petrapole. If this building is opened, the authorities think that the sufferings of passengers will be reduced a lot.Petrapole Land Port in Haridaspur on the Indian side has undergone many developments and as a result of these developments passengers traveling between India and Bangladesh can now travel more comfortably than before. How many crores of rupees have been spent by the Government of India to implement this project? He said 450 crore rupees. Do you think there is any problem in Bangladesh side and what is your suggestion to solve that problem? Land port no problem, no problem all facilities are there, but in noman’s land and inside your land port there is a lot of common gathering of passengers. This gathering immigration is there, because immigration works very slow in immigration due to which there is a traffic jam.How many immigration desks are there under you, and how many desks do your staff work in? Is there a staff shortage? If you would have told me a little bit of information, why is there so much crowding in immigration? Saurabh Roy Chief Immigration officer, Petrapole said, Because of intensive checking by Customs as well as BSF for the last 3 days immigration process is getting delayed. There is some shortage of immigration staff. But we are managing. Customs and BSF are separate identities and not under my control. I have already informed the matter to FRRO Kolkata and LPAI.
