New Delhi, Feb 9 (Agency) Prime Minister Narendra had visited North East India 44 times from 2017-22, the Ministry of Development of North-East Region (DoNER) said on Thursday. In a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha, Union Minister for Development of North-East Region (DoNER) G Kishan Reddy said, “forty four visits made by the PM to the North Eastern States from 2017-22.”
According to the data provided by Reddy, the highest visits were made during the year 2018 and 2019. The number stood at 11 each. In the year 2020, the PM visited NE region only one time, as per the data. The PM called the eight NE states as ‘Ashtalakshmi’.
