New Delhi, Jan 28 (Representative) The board examination datesheet for Class X and XII of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) students will be announced on February 2, Tuesday, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ said here on Thursday. The examinations will be held in offline mode from May 4 to June 10, the CBSE had announced earlier. The CBSE has trimmed the syllabus by 30 per cent for both the board classes while 33 per cent questions in each paper will be of internal choice. The practical examinations will begin from March 1 while the results will be declared on July 15.
The alterations have been made due to difficulties students are facing due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis. “Students, teachers and schools are facing an unprecedented and uncertain situation due to the COVID-19 epidemic but teachers have worked tirelessly to ensure that students do not face any difficulty in their studies,” Mr Pokhriyal said while interacted with presidents and secretaries of CBSE Sahodaya School complexes to discuss changes in the CBSE curriculum for the 2021-22 academic year, in light of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The schools across the country have been closed since March 2020. In October last year, the schools resumed physically for selected classes. Pre-Covid, the Board examination used to begin from mid-February with results declared in May.
