NTPC group crosses 3 GW operational Renewable Capacity

New Delhi, Dec 20 (Agency) With the commissioning of 100 MW solar capacity at its Nokhra Project in Rajasthan, NTPC has achieved another milestone of 3 GW Operational capacity on December 20, 2022. The group earlier crossed 2 GW on 24 Jun 2022 with the commissioning of its 92 MW Floating Solar project at Kayamkulam, Kerala, according to a media statement here. The first GW was achieved on March 27, 2020. NTPC group now has 36 operational RE projects spread across 12 states with a cumulative capacity of 3094 MW.

The capacity includes the largest floating Solar portfolio of 262 MW in the country with the country’s 3 largest floating solar Projects located at Telangana, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. NTPC has added 1242 MW of Renewable capacity in the current fiscal. As of date, 5 GW is under different stages of implementation and another 7 GW is under tendering. NTPC is committed to achieve over 60 GW of Renewable Energy Capacity by the year 2032. NTPC group installed and commercial capacity becomes 70824 MW.
