If the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Prime Minister to listen to the farmers, there will be no suicide: Gandhi

Shegaon, Nov 19 (FN Agency)Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday said that ,in the last eight years, social inequality has increased in the country. Farmers are in dire straits, youths are looking for jobs but their problems are not solved and no one listens to their problems. While addressing a grand rally at holy town Shegaon of Gajanan Maharaj Mr Gandhi said that, parents have to spend lakhs of rupees on their children’s education. Boys study engineering and have to drive a private taxi or do odd jobs. The youth, the farmers are in the open and on the other hand only a handful of people get rich in this India, we do not want an India and we will not allow it to happen, said Mr Gandhi boldly.Speaking further Gandhi said that the farmer is the backbone of the world, he needs support. Farmers suffer huge losses in rains, heavy rains, cyclones, but the BJP government does not help them or compensate them. Crop insurance is not available.

Farmers take loans but it is not waived off and big industrialists get loan waivers worth lakhs of crores of rupees. A farmer is in trouble, when he is suffering he takes the extreme decision to end his life. As soon as the farmers of Vidarbha came to know, the UPA government gave a historic loan waiver, but today’s government does not listen to the voice of the farmers. If the Chief Minister and the Prime Minister of Maharashtra listen to the pains, problems and sorrows of the farmers, not a single suicide will happen,he said. This padayatra has started from Kanyakumari and we are moving forward after listening to the people. I am here to hear your pain. But some people are working to spread violence, hatred, fear,he charged.

Fear, violence, hatred causes damage, love, brotherhood and non-violence separate people. Hatred and violence do not benefit the country. The land of Maharashtra is the land of sages, saints and great men. They gave love to people, worked to connect people, we are doing the same. We are working on connecting countries. People who have experienced violence in their lives do not harbor hatred. There can be no hatred in the hearts of farmers and workers. Maharashtra is the land of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. There is a big difference between Shivaji Maharaj and us, he was great, he was the voice of Maharashtra. Shivaji Maharaj became Chhatrapati because he followed the path shown by his mother Jijau, added Mr Gandhi. Mpcc president ,Nana Patole, Former CM Ashok Chavan, Balasaheb Thorat, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, All India Congress Committee General Secretary Mukul Wasnik, Kanhai Kumar, Yashomati Thakur also addressed the public.
