Nanded, Nov 8 (Agency) Senior Congress leader and MP Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday criticized that both the decisions including demonetisation and GST taken by prime minister Narendra Modi have ruined India’s economy. Mr Gandhi was addressing a gathering on the second day of Bharat Jodo Yatra in Maharashtra that ended with cornor meeting at Bhopala village. He said that on this day, 6 years ago, Prime minister Narendra Modi came on TV at 8 pm and cancelled Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 notes.
While GST was implemented in a wrong way, it caused a big blow to the small and small enterprises of the country. Both these decisions of Narendra Modi have ruined the economy of the country. n Mr Gandhi further said that the small, medium and small scale industries, which are the backbone of the country’s economy, suffered huge losses, lakhs of industries were closed, lakhs of jobs were lost. The whimsical decision of demonetisation also caused damage. Both the decisions caused huge loss to the country and benefited only two or three industrialists. Farmers’ loans are not waived, but big industrialists’ loans worth lakhs of crores are waived. Public sector enterprises are being sold to capitalists resulting in poor employment of the youth. Further accusing Mr Gandhi said that ,the work of spreading hatred in the country is being done by BJP, RSS.
Castes and religions are fighting. Which country’s patriots are the BJP people who instigate quarrels among the people of caste-religion in their own country,he asked. Mr Gandhi also said that these people cannot be patriots of our country if they think about such questions. Tributes were paid to Congress Seva Dal National General Secretary Krishna Kumar Pandey who died this morning during Bharat Jodo Yatra. Mr Gandhi, State President Nana Patole, Legislature Party Leader Balasaheb Thorat and former Chief Minister Ashok Chavan also paid tribute to Pandey and announced Rs 25 lakhs to his family .
