Wishes pour in for PM Modi on his 72nd birthday

New Delhi, Sep 18 (Representative) Wishes poured in for Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday, with a series of events lined up throughout the day to mark his 72nd birthday. Top BJP leaders, as well as Congress leader Rahul Gandhi joined the list of eminent leaders who wished the Prime Minister on his birthday. BJP President JP Nadda wished the Prime Minister and said, “Birthday greetings to world’s most popular leader, our Prime Minister Honorable Narendra Modi. Your leadership has given a new direction to the destiny and future of India. You have shaped the New Indian consciousness through ‘Panch Prana’ on the holy occasion of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”. Nadda shared a video based on his life, with featuring several photographs and snippets from the Prime Minister’s life, including his photograph as an NCC cadet, his Master’s degree from Delhi university, photos of him with party leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee, his days as Gujarat chief minister, and then as the prime minister. The video also mentioned different flagship schemes of the Modi government.

The BJP National President also inaugurated an exhibition on PM Modi at the party headquarters in Delhi. The Prime Minister’s birthday is being observed as “Sewa Diwas” by the BJP.Home Minister Amit Shah in his birthday message said he prays for the prime minister’s good health and long life. He said PM Modi made impossible tasks possible with his “India-first approach” and determination for the welfare of the poor. He said with simultaneous and continuous efforts for the welfare of the poor, good governance, development, national security and historic reforms, Modi has fulfilled his resolve of taking India to the top position. “This has been possible only because of the unwavering faith of the people in his leadership.” he said. Shah also said that the life of PM Modi, who is working towards creation of a “safe, strong and self-reliant New India”, is a symbol of service and dedication. “For the first time since Independence, by giving crores of poor people their Rights, Shri Modi has instilled a sense of hope and faith in them, today every section of society is firmly standing with Shri Modi like a rock.” Shah said.

The Union Home and Cooperation Minister said by championing and promoting Indian culture, Modi has taken the country forward in every field of development by connecting it to its original roots. “Today’s New India has emerged as a world power under the vision and leadership of Shri Modi and he has made his mark as a global leader, which is respected by the world,” said the home Minister. Apart from BJP leaders, leaders from Congress and other parties also wished the Prime Minister. Rahul Gandhi extended his wishes to the PM, and said, “Wishing PM Narendra Modi a happy birthday.”Congress leader Jairam Ramesh also wished the PM, even as he said the ‘ideological battle’ continues.”Our ideological and political battles against him continue. His personal vendetta against us intensifies. Even so, here is wishing and greeting our Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 72nd birthday,” Ramesh tweeted.

Former Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh, whose Punjab Lok Congress is set to be dissolved in the BJP on Monday as per a party spokesperson, wished the PM on Twitter and said, “Warm birthday greetings to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji. May god bless you with a long & healthy life in the service of our nation.” Trinamool Congress’ National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee extended his “warm greetings” and wished him “many more years of good health and well-being”.Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar on Saturday greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of his 72nd Birthday.In a message, the Chief Minister said, “ On behalf of the Government and People of Telangana and my personal Behalf, I wish you a Very Happy Birthday”. Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal also took to twitter to extend birthday greetings to the PM. Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama also wished the Prime Minister. The Buddhist religious leader wrote to Prime Minister Modi and offered his “warmest good wishes and prayers for his continued good health”.
