J&K’s Arun Malhotra appointed technical committee member of AIFF

Jammu, Sep 4 (FN Agency) Son of the soil and international footballer Arun Malhotra has been appointed as technical committee member of the All India Football Federation (AIFF) on Saturday. As per reports, ace footballer from the Jammu and Kashmir, Malhotra has become the first player from the region to be included in the technical committee of AIFF.Malhotra is also Sher-e-Kashmir and State Awardee. A high-level meeting was held under the leadership of Chairman I M Vijayan for the formation of a committee of the All India Football Federation.After much deliberation, Arun Malhotra among five others was nominated to the committee. The high level decision making technical committee was led by IM Vijayan as chairman and included members, Eugeneson Lyngdoh, Climax Lawrence, Harjinder Singh, Arun Malhotra and Pinki Bompal as members.

Meanwhile many sports lovers, promoters including member J&K Sports Council Ranjit Kalra, international coach form J&K, Sajid Yusuf, Everester from J&K, Ram Singh Slathia, member trustee of Arun Sharma Sports and Social Welfare Trust, Ashutosh Sharma congratulated him for splendid achievement. “It’s an honour because my inclusion into the committee was beyond my thought, which I cannot express in words,” Malhotra told UNI, hoping that Indian football will surely see new heights in years to come. Thanking the AIFF after his induction into the committee, Malhotra said that the responsibility towards football has now been doubled on his shoulders and as usual, he will always be in the forefront for the promotion and welfare of the sport.
