Jammu, Sep 4 (Agency) Founder chairperson, FICCI FLO, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Kuwarani Ritu Singh on Saturday said that counselling and skilling can sensitize differently abled society towards their rights.Motivating the individuals during an interactive session between children of Sahyog India and JIGAR Foundation organised by FICCI FLO, J&K and Ladakh, Vice Chairperson Esther William here at Alexander Memorial High School, Kuwarani Ritu Singh said, “this sector can be helped with full support in the areas of counseling, healthcare, skilling, and employment.”
However, Dr. Ashwini Jojra, President of Sahyog India, educated the gathering on the logistics and problems faced by the differently abled society on which he has been working relentlessly for more than three decades. President of JIGAR Foundation, Sandhya Dhar inspired everyone with her journey and how the Foundation is being run for all women differently abled in practice and takes care of differently abled women. Earlier the programme started with the lighting of the traditional lamp amidst the chants of prayers by the dignitaries and the participants.
FICCI FLO JKL collaborated with NGOs, Sahyog India and JIGAR Foundation, to strengthen their endeavour to provide dignity, job, skills, and hand holding to these children in order for them to take advantage of all the schemes benefits that the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. A cultural exchange between the differently abled children and of Alexander Memorial High School presented heartwarming songs, poems, and a skit that highlighted social evils of the society. Hosted by FICCI FLO Vice Chairperson, Esther William, the event culminated with the distribution of sweets and gifts given to the children. FLO members Pooja Gandotra, Pooja Puri, Mona Saraf, Richa Issar, Payal Bhalla, Tina Aggarwal, Nandita Bajaj, Sapna Jain, Parakh Jain also attended the occasion.
