Jakarta, Aug 9 (Agency) A 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Indonesia’s eastern province of Maluku on Tuesday, the meteorology, climatology and geophysics agency said. The quake hit at 19:59 local time, with the epicenter at 189 km northwest of Kepulauan Tanimbar (Maluku Tenggara Barat) district and the depth at 176 km under seabed, the agency said. The earthquake did not have the potential to trigger a tsunami, it said.
