President Draupadi Murmu receives honor from Punekar, Sushma, Sanjay Chordia of Suryadatta Group

Pune July 28 ( FN Agency) We are proud that our student Itishree’s mother Draupadi Murmu become the President of India. We congratulate them on behalf whole Suryadatta Group of Institute and our staff, students & stakeholders, Prof. Dr. Sanjay B Chordia, Founder President & Chairman of Suryadatta Group of Institute, Pune expressed his feelings after congratulating the newly elected His Excellency President of India Draupadi Murmu. Prof. Dr. Sanjay Chordia along with Sushma Chordia, Vice President of Suryadatta Group of Institute met Murmu Ji at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi, and congratulated her on electing a President of India. This was the first Punekar educational organization to meet with the new President of India. In this meeting, Chordia offered a bunch of flowers and presented the first copy of the Suryadatta Silver Jubilee Commemoration Information Booklet to His Excellency the President Sushma Chordia presented to His Excellency, a brochure detailing alumni from Orissa and surrounding areas who studied in Suryadatta, a prospectus with memories and photos of the 2008-10 batch, and Suryadatta Social and Women of Suryadatta Women Empowerment and Leadership Academy (SWELA) the information book of Empowerment Initiative.

Draupadi Murmu’s election to the President of India is an event that should be written in golden letters in the history of India as Smt. Murmu is the first tribal woman to hold India’s highest constitutional office. She is also the first President born in independent India. Her political journey from being a municipal councilor to becoming the first citizen of India in a short span of time, while enduring many hardships and setbacks in her personal life, achieving spiritual progress is very inspiring to everyone, said Prof. Dr. Sanjay B Chordia. He also briefed the President about the various branches of Suryadatta Institutes, the comprehensive courses available there, and the extra-curricular activities implemented for the holistic development of the students. We are very fortunate to get the opportunity to meet President Murmu Ji. Very few people who are working in the political field or who have distinguished themselves in a field get the honour of their visit. But since Smt. Murmu is associated with Suryadatta as a parent, we have had the opportunity to meet her twice in the last three weeks since she was nominated for the post of President.

Meeting such a humble and sensitive personality like Smt. Murmu Ji was an indescribable experience. The respect they have for teachers is admirable. We are sure that she will be an excellent President and under her leadership, India’s journey of development will be very fast, he added. Further, he said, from 2008 to 2010, Murmu’s daughter Itishree Ganesh Hembram-Murmu was a student of Suryadatta. She did a 2-year AICTE recognised Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) course at Suryadutta Institute of Management and Mass Communication (SIMMC). Her major subjects were Human Resource Management and International Business. At that time Smt. Murmu had come here to say goodbye to Itishree who was staying in the campus hostel of Suryadatta. Along with this, many memories were brought back in this meeting. Itishree Murmu-Hembram is currently working as a manager in a nationalized bank. Itishree was friendly with everyone & she was a brilliant student who mingled with everyone. Chordia also wished Itishree great success ahead. During this visit, Prof. Dr. Sanjay B. Chordia and Sushma Chordia invited the President to visit Suryadatta again and interact with the students there to provide them with experiential guidance for a successful career.
