Hyderabad, July 15 (FN Representative) South Central Railway (SCR) Women’s Kabaddi team won the All India Kabaddi Tournament held at Shoolagiri, Bangalore, Karnataka from July 8 to 10. Total 19 teams participated in the tournament. South Central Railway team beat Tamil Nadu Police by 36-14, Always/Bangalore by 26-19 and SAI/Sonipet by 29-15 in the quarter final and entered into Semi final and beat Gurukul/Haryana team with the score 33-29.
In the finals the SCR team had a tough fight with TMC/Thane which was defeated by a 25-15 score. Ms Pooja of South Central Railway was awarded as Best Player of the Tournament, a SCR statement here said on Friday. SCR General Manager (In-charge) Arun Kumar Jain congratulated and complimented the team members for their victory. He advised the Kabaddi team to put their best efforts and bring laurels to South Central Railway and Indian Railways.
