Covid: Delhi logs nearly 2,000 cases, double from previous day

New Delhi, June 24 (Agency) Delhi logged 1,934 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours while no deaths were recorded due to the viral disease, the health bulletin showed on Thursday. The single-day spike is the highest recorded figure this month so far and twice the infections reported a day ago.

Meanwhile, the positivity rate stood at 8.1 per cent after testing 23,879 samples, according to the bulletin. On Wednesday, Delhi had recorded 928 fresh Covid-19 cases, the lowest in over a week, with a positivity rate of 7. 08 per cent and three more fatalities. The latest figures have risen the cumulative infection tally to 19,27,394 while the figure for total deaths stands at 26,242.
