Yoga invaluable Indian tradition: SL Prez

Colombo, June 21 (Agency) Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on Tuesday termed Yoga as an invaluable Indian tradition to attain physical, mental and social well-being. High Commission of India in Colombo tweeted Gotabaya’ message to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of International Day of Yoga.

Indian embassy tweeted, “President Gotabaya defined yoga as an invaluable Indian tradition to attain physical, mental and social well-being that eventually engenders harmony and global peace in his message to PM Narendra Modi on the occasion of International Day of Yoga. “President further noted that Yoga had benefitted people to deal with their darkest anxieties in Covid-19.” Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and other Parliamentarians participated in yoga events in Colombo.
