PM inaugurates railway projects worth Rs 16,369 cr in Vadodara

Vadodara, June 19 (Representative) Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Saturday inaugurated, laid foundation stone of 18 different railway projects worth Rs 16,369 crore in Gujarat.Along with this, Modi also inaugurated, laid the foundation stone of development projects worth Rs 21,000 crore of various departments in five districts of central Gujarat.He launched the Gujarat government’s Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana’, which focuses on the nutrition of all women, including pregnant women and ‘Poshan Sudha Yojana’.Nutrition kits were distributed to the beneficiaries of this latest scheme and the keys of houses, under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, were handed over to the beneficiaries.

The Prime Minister, during the ‘Gujarat Gaurav Abhiyan’ programme, inaugurated the new campus of ‘Gujarat Central University,’ to be established at Kundela near Vadodara and laid the foundation stone of various railroad construction works, including the construction of ‘Gati Shakti University’ building to be set up at NAIR Campus in Vadodara.Modi said that for a healthy motherhood and healthy children of Gujarat, the state government has implemented the ‘Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana’ costing Rs 811 crore.With this scheme, the state government has ensured the availability of proper nutrition to women during pregnancy.He said by expanding the scope of ‘Poshan Sudha Yojana’, all 14 districts of Gujarat have been included in it.Under this scheme, the pregnant women will be given lunch by the government, which will empower the future generation.
