Hamirpur (HP), June 17 (Agency) The BJP wants to eliminate the Gandhi and was accordingly hatching a conspiracy, Congress spokesman Deepak Sharma said on Friday. “The BJP knows that crores of people have an emotional connection with the Gandhi family, so the family is being targeted for the purpose of finishing it off. This is a big conspiracy,” he said in a statement.
He said the way Congress workers were being “tortured” in Delhi was shocking and anti-democratic. Sharma said he himself was forced into a car during protests in Delhi when Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate and left in the dark of the night at the city’s Badarpur border. “Such atrocities have not been seen before in a democracy,” he said. “BJP has resorted to dictatorship to remain in power.”
