Sangrur bypoll: AAP slams Cong for using pictures of Moosewala in election song

Chandigarh, June 14 (Agency) Lamenting over politicising the unfortunate death of popular singer Sidhu Moosewala, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Gurmail Singh has slammed Congress for using slain singer’s photos in party’s election song released on Sunday in favour of party candidate Dalvir Singh Gold for upcoming Sangur bypolls. “A mother has lost his son but it is appalling that Congress is trying to get mileage from his death in the elections. Congress should resist to use such tactics and hurt sentiments of family and fans,” the AAP candidate said during his campaigning in the constituency on Monday.

Lambasting opposition for targeting AAP government for alleged deterioration of law and order situation in Punjab, Gurmail said that the gangsters were patronised by successive governments for past 70 years and now they are putting all the blame on CM Mann-led AAP government’s almost three-month governance. He said that oppositions have baffled with the extraordinary decisions taken by AAP and trying to tarnish clean image of the party by using cheap-political tactics.
