New Delhi, June 3 (Agency) External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, who is visiting the Central European nation of Slovakia, on Thursday met Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg on the sidelines of the GLOBSEC 2022 Forum. The EAM in a tweet said that the two discussed bilateral relations as well as the Ukraine conflict and its implications, besides the Indo Pacific. “Great to see my friend FM @a_schallenberg of Austria. Noted the progress in our bilateral cooperation since his March visit.
“Appreciated his perspectives on the Ukraine conflict and its implications. Also discussed the situation in Afghanistan and the Indo-Pacific.” Schallenberg, in a tweet, said: “Good to meet again with my colleague FM @DrSJaishankar at margins of #GLOBSEC2022 in #Bratislava. #India is a key partner in South Asia. Also spoke about the Russian war of aggression in #Ukraine. It has sent shockwaves around the world, inflicting suffering in many countries.” The EAM is on an official visit to the central European countries of Slovakia and the Czech Republic, both close neighbours of Ukraine, from June 2-6.
