Five Bengal women cricketers get call to join the NCA camp

Kolkata, May 12 (Agency) Five under-19 women cricketers from Bengal have been selected for the Zonal Camp of NCA, according to the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). The month-long camp for the girls will commence on May 16, during which they will play at various venues, the CAB said on Thursday. They are Dristi Majhi (Batter), Titas Sadhu (Right arm Medium Pacer), Bidisha Dey (Right Arm Medium Pacer), Hrishita Basu (Wicketkeeper batter) and Sasti Mandal (left hand batter).

” We have given a lot of stress to women’s cricket. We are scouting talents from across the state and creating new tournaments for them. “The selection of the five cricketers is proof that our efforts are paying off and we are in the right direction,” said CAB Jt Secretary Debabrata Das. The players will leave for the camp on May 15.
