Bhilwara, May 12 (Bureau) Peace and calm returned to Sanganer area of ??Rajasthan’s Bhilwara city, after a settlement was reached on Wednesday between the two communities, officials informed on Thursday. This led to the authorities restoring internet services in the city after 24 hours of shutdown. According to the police, there was complete peace in the area on Thursday and all the markets were open and there was no disturbance of any kind reported from anywhere. However, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has said that it will give a memorandum to all the Tehsildars in the area to protest against this matter. Trouble started when one Adarsh ??Tapadia was stabbed to death by some unknown people in Shastri Nagar of the area late on Tuesday night.
Following this, tension prevailed in the area and internet service were shutdown by the authorities. Some Hindu organizations had called for a bandh to protest against the killing. But later, after family members of the deceased talked to the police and the administration, an agreement was reached and the matter was settled peacefully. Meanwhile, tension prevailed in Nohar area in Rajasthan’s Hanumangarh district after some people were attacked and injured a Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader on Wednesday night, forcing the authorities to shut down the internet services. According to reports, the incident occurred, when a local VHP leader Satveer Saharan approached a group of youths to talk to them at around ten o’clock on Wednesday night who were sitting in an empty plot in front of a temple in Nohar. This soon turned into an argument and soon escalated into an altercation.
Following with Saharan was attacked by the youths and seriously injured. He was admitted to the hospital in Hanumangarh from where he was referred to a hospital in Bikaner. Following the incident, VHP workers blocked the traffic on the Nohar Rawatsar road in the early hours. The police, reached the spot and explained to them that some people have been taken into custody for the assault. But they did not agree with the police, forcing the police to forcibly remove them and later about two dozen VHP workers were detained. As tension grew in the area, the police decided to shutdown the internet services. Large number of police have been deployed on the spot and the situation is said to be under control.
