New Delhi, April 26 (Agency) Former Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu on Tuesday tweeted a photograph with Prashant Kishor calling him his “old friend”, hours after it was announced that Kishor has declined the offer to join the Congress. Sidhu tweeted that he met Kishor, shared a selfie with the political strategist, and said, “Had a wonderful meeting with my old friend PK … Old wine, Old gold and Old friends still the best”.
Sidhu, who was asked to resign as the Punjab Congress chief after recent poll debacle, had earlier tweeted slamming Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann over a MoU with Delhi government on knowledge sharing. Political strategist Prashant Kishor was offered to join the Congress as a part of the Empowered Action Group 2024 that will chart out the roadmap for next general elections but he declined the offer. Putting at rest months of speculation, Congress Chief Spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala announced that Kishor has declined the offer. Kishor also tweeted saying he has declined the offer.
