Dhaka, April 21 (Agency) Every person wishing to enter Bangladesh would be required to give details regarding his health status by filling an online health declaration form three days prior to entering the country. This decision will be effective from April 25 onwards. The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAA) has already issued a notification in this regard. The notification issued on Wednesday (April 20) night said that the passengers have to fill up the health declaration form three days before their arrival in the country. They will fill up the online form by visiting the website http://healthdeclaration.dghs.gov.bd. After filling the form, a health card with QR code will come. The applicant has to print it or keep the soft copy (on mobile) with himself. It has also been said that before transiting to any country and actually checking-in at the transit airport in Bangladesh, a new health declaration form has to be filled. During boarding, the airlines will check if the passengers have health cards. After arriving in the country, the passenger has to show the health card with QR code or soft copy on the mobile at the airport. The online health declaration form includes information about the passenger’s heart health, vaccination status, body temprature and cough.
Until now, one had to enter the country by filling a health declaration form prepared by the Department of Health. After entering the country, passengers had to stand in a long line at the counter of the Department of Health before the immigration counter. The notification has imposed new restrictions on passengers arriving in Bangladesh. According to the restrictions, passengers who have taken the full dose of Corona vaccine do not need to undergo RT PCR test. However, in that case the passengers have to show the vaccination certificate. Passengers who have not taken a single dose or any vaccine will have to have a negative Corona report at least 72 hours before of entering Bangladesh. Children under 12 do not have to undergo any corona test. But they have to follow other instructions regarding health. It has also been informed that there is no obligation to take corona test from Bangladesh to go abroad.
