New Delhi, April 3 (Agency) Jindal Steel and Power has bagged three coal mines auctioned by the government in the fourth tranche of commercial auction, according to the Ministry of Coal. The government had auctioned five mines, having a total reserves of 665.08 MT, out of which three were bagged by JSPL, while the rest two were secured by Twenty First Century Mining and BS Ispat, respectively. The cumulative PRC for these coal mines is 14.756 MT per annum, the Ministry said in a statement issued here.
The five mines are Gare Palma IV/6 in Chhattisgarh, Rabodih in Kharkhand, OCP Chinora in Maharashtra and Utkal B1 & B2 in Odisha. “The commercial coal mining auction process a total of 47 coal mines, including these five coal mines auctioned in Tranche-4, have been successfully auctioned so far with a total cumulative PRC of 101.440 million ton per annum,” it said. The capital investments in these five mines is estimated at Rs 2,213.40 crore, while the annual revenue projected based on the PRC of mines is estimated at Rs 2,792.07 crore.
