Islamabad, March 27 (Agency) Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Saturday that March 27 (Sunday) — when the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf will be holding its “historic” rally in Islamabad ahead of the start of no-confidence proceedings against him — will be a “decisive day” in the country’s history, Dawn reported. Exhorting his supporters, Khan said “The biggest ever sea of people will converge in the capital to give the message to these criminals (opposition) that their days of looting and plundering are over,” while addressing a public meeting in Punjab’s Kamalia city. Khan appealed to the people to reach Islamabad on Sunday in large numbers for the rally, while accusing the opposition of ‘buying’ the MNAs from his party in an effort to bring down his government.
He claimed that the opposition’s sole objective behind the no-trust move was to “blackmail” the government into closing corruption cases against them. Counting his governments achievements Khan said his government had worked hard to “restore law and peace” and that the economy is now heading in the right direction, adding that Pakistan was moving towards achieving the goals of development, progress and prosperity.
