Bhubaneswar, Mar 01 (Bureau) The Special Task Force (STF) of the Crime branch has apprehended a drug peddler absconding since January 2022 and forwarded him to court. According to STF sources, a team of STF agents on Tuesday conducted a raid and captured Suraj Dalabehera @ Sonu, the drug peddler of Mukundaprasad under Khordha Town Police station limit of Khordha district on Monday and sent him to the Dist & Sessions Judge/Special Judge, Nayagarh.
Suraj was wanted in a STF case filed in January 2022 U/s. 21(c)/29 NDPS Act, 1985. Three 7 MM Pistols, seven magazines, 43 rounds of 7 MM Ammunitions, 3.1 KG of contraband brown sugar, and other incriminating materials were seized earlier from the possession of the accused. Till date four accused persons have been arrested and forwarded to the court in this case. Suraj Dalabehera was also involved in several cases of extortion, robbery, attempt to murder, the STF said.
