Khandu, Rijiju congratulate Arunachal players for winning medals in International event

Itanagar, Feb 28 (Agency) In a record medal haul, six players from Arunachal Pradesh, representing India in the International Wushu Championship in Moscow, have won an equal number of medals for the country. The medal winners are – Mepung Lamgu (Gold), Nyeman Wangsu (Gold), Dani Nuri (Gold), Taug Ama (Gold), Bamang Ampa (Silver) and Yorna Rosni (Bronze).

Meanwhile, wishes have started pouring in for the players from different quarters. Amongst those who have congratulated the medal winners are Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Union Minister of Law and Justice Kiren Rijiju and the state Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Mama Natung. “Immensely proud of Wushu players from Arunachal for bringing laurels to Bharat at the International Wushu championship, Moscow. It’s a record achievement by our Stars! “Congratulations to our Champions!” Khandu wrote in his FB post. “Players from Arunachal Pradesh have achieved record victory for India at the International Wushu Championship held at Moscow,” Rijiju, also MP from Arunachal West constituency, wrote on Twitter. “Congratulations to #Wushu players of Sangey Lhaden Sports Academy (SLSA) #ArunachalPradesh for winning Gold,Silver, Bronze medals for India in #Moscow #WushuStarsChampionship 2022 & made us & our country proud,” Minister Mama Natung tweeted.
